Introduction

The "Ecole des TPE" (Civil Engineering Department [DGCB]) and the "Laboratoire Central des Ponts et Chaussées" (LCPC-Division for Transport Materials and Infrastructures) have taken great pleasure in inviting you for the third International EATA conference "eata08" in Lyon (France).

Consecutively to the conference, you can consult the final programme.

The European Asphalt Technology Association (EATA) is an organization that was established in 2003 with similar aims and structure to the well established US Association of Asphalt Paving Technologists (AAPT). EATA aims to provide a forum on a European scale for regular biennial technical meetings combined with publication of high quality fundamental and applied research on asphalt technology.

The inaugural meeting 247 Ko of EATA was held in July 2004 in Nottingham (UK).

The second meeting 99 Ko was held in May 2006 in Meriden (UK) (click here for further details 21 Ko). The papers have been published in two special issues of the International Journal of Road Materials and Pavement Design (RMPD), which is an ISI indexed publication.

A summary of the 2007 meeting of the Association of Asphalt Paving Technologists (AAPT) to be held in San Antonio, Texas will be available here.
